Lust for Rust Workshop - Using Specialist Paints - Sunday 8th October 10 - 12.30

This two and a half hour workshop is an introduction to working with special effects metallic paint; learn how to make any paintable surface look like aged metal, the techniques involved and the surfaces it can be applied to.

Jane Michael, an artist with a Certificate IV in training and Assessment, will show you how to apply special effects paint and use different methods to create various patinas and oxidisation effects. You will then produce your own outdoor artwork to take home. If you have a piece of your own that you would like to work on you are welcome to bring it - but it's best to check with us first to make sure it's appropriate.

All materials and equipment are supplied. Children over the age of 14 can attend. We recommend wearing older clothes on the day, as it can be a messy process!

Full payment must be paid at least two weeks before the event.  Please note that your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received in full.

If the event is cancelled by Designer Dirt (e.g. due to bad weather, insufficient numbers or illness), participants will be offered a full refund, a reschedule or a credit.

If a participant wishes to cancel their booking more than 7 days before commencement of the event, a $20 administration fee will apply and then the balance will be refunded. Participants can also choose to transfer their credit to a future event.

Participant fees will not be refunded for cancellations made within 7 days of the event commencement. If we can fill your spot, a full refund will be made, minus a $20 administration fee.
